Welcome to the Beatles Rarity of the Week. On August 1st, 2015 long-time Beatles-friend and fellow Liverpudlian Cilla Black (real name Priscilla Maria Veronica White) died of a stroke at the age of 72. Back in 1963, John Lennon introduced Cilla to Beatles manager Brian Epstein and by September he began managing her as a […]
For those of us who like our Beatles rare….

I have been fascinated by the work of The Beatles for a long time. I have been collecting recordings by them since 1976 which is longer than I have been an adult. Over the years my interests grew beyond the official recordings, and also from group efforts to solo-Beatle projects, and from collectible vinyl to CDs and video media. I even started collecting material by other artists that had one or more of The Beatles contributions as supporting musicians. What I really wanted to do was to get everything they ever did musically, but the more I collected and the more I learned, the more I realized what a nearly impossible endeavor this would be. So I do not claim to have everything; maybe everything that I am aware of, but not everything. Whenever I become privy to something I don’t have, I do what I can to get it, and into this listing it goes. Each week, on Monday, I pull out one of the rarities from the list for you to hear.

George’s cover of Bob Dylan’s 1966 classic “Absolutely Sweet Marie” […]

I’m sure many reading have already gotten a copy of his newest hits and key album tracks compilation Pure McCartney. Despite the 4-CD deluxe edition containing 67 […]
Welcome to the Beatles Rarity of the Week. It’s been sometime now since I last posted a rarity so it is good to get back into sharing something I hope is to your liking this week. As most of you probably already know, John Lennon often composed songs while at home and would record demos […]
First off, I want to thank everyone who has sent in their compliments and praise for TheBeatlesRarity.com. “It’s all too much” to respond to individually but I want you to know that I simply can’t describe in words how much that means to me. I also want to make it clear that I have not […]
Sunrise doesn’t last all morning. The cloudburst doesn’t last all day. TheBeatlesRarity has been such a joy over these past eight and a half years that it is really a hard thing to put down. But I have reached a point where I recognize a change of focus is in order and I must be […]
