Paul McCartney’s “Live Kisses” out in November (2012)

On February 9, 2012 Itunes streamed a special live performance from Paul McCartney at the legendary Capitol Studios in Los Angeles recognizing his new Kisses On the Bottom album collection of traditional American music from the 1930s to early 1950s. Live Kisses captures this complete performance on DVD or BluRay and will be released on November 13, 2012. PBS subsequently televised a version of the concert with interview clips in between songs and that footage will also be included with this release. Paul’s band included an impressive group of musicians led by Diana Krall on the piano, Joe Walsh on guitar and Abe Laboriel, Jr. on drums. Adding to the set of songs from the American songbook is his “perfect fit” new composition “My Valentine.” If you love Paul or if you love the music from this era, then you’re sure to love this.
