Paul McCartney, tying the knot again this weekend?

A source from Us Weekly magazine has confirmed that Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell will marry this weekend (Sep. 17/18, 2011). The ceremony is to take place at Paul’s farmhouse in Sussex, U.K. According to an unspecified source from the magazine, “It is to be a small, intimate wedding and it’s going to be very elegant and classic.”

I hate to add uncertainty here, but a McCartney spokesman told The Examiner Tuesday that the recent stories about the wedding were “pure speculation.”

So who is right and who is wrong? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Paul proposed to Nancy, a New York City businesswoman, aged 51 years, in April 2011, with a $650,000 engagement ring. It will be Paul’s third marriage. The first to Linda Eastman in 1969, lasted until her death with cancer in 1998. His second marriage to Heather Mills, from 2002 until 2008, ended in a well publicized and messy divorce.

The latest is that Sir Paul McCartney is due to marry for the third time on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 10, 2011) at The Old Marylebone Town Hall in central London in front of less than 30 close family members, including his five children, and friends. The wedding reception will then be at Paul's house in nearby St John's Wood.

The latest is that Paul and Nancy will NOT wed this weekend. Shame on you, Us Weekly!
