Thanks for the informative article. I acquired a beautiful 2nd state mono about a year ago in a pile of records headed for the thrift store. My local record shop graded it at Mint – to VG++. The cover is so beautiful with no splits or any damage and just some slight yellowing. The actual record is NM and looks unplayed sans a small scuff on one side. Sadly I do not have the original Capitol Records sleeve :-( I have never seen just the sleeve for sale. Thanks for the article!!

I received yesterday and Today album Christmas 1966 and went sulking into bedroom, After a few weeks I broke down & played it. It was the best music my young ears had ever heard! Still have it as part of a huge vinyl collection (about 10,000 records). what are the chances of it being a butcher block album having been purchased in fall of 1966?
