I’m sure many reading this are already familiar with Dennis Mitchell’s Breakfast With The Beatles, as it is aired worldwide on around 60 radio stations worldwide as well as a few Internet affiliate stations. For those of you Beatle fans out there who are not, I encourage you to check it out. Besides plenty of great Beatles music, Dennis gives us interview segments, rare recordings, background information about the tracks played, and plenty of extras, bringing the enjoyment miles above just hearing an automated play list of back-to-back music. It’s on the air, it’s on the web, and you can play it on your Iphone or your Blackberry and if you’re a Beatles fan, you’ll love it. Among the web affiliates for the weekly 2-hour broadcast is Fab 4 Radio which is immediately accessible right here on TheBeatlesRarity.com (check out the widget in the right sidebar). Dennis has recently aired his 1000th show, since 1991, and to honor the occasion I had the pleasure of recording an interview with him this afternoon for broadcast on Fab 4 Radio. I spoke with him mainly about his show, his background in radio, his interviews with others in the Beatles’ historical circle (Yoko Ono, Pete Best, Ringo Starr, George Martin, BBC’s Brian Matthew, etc.) and what we could expect from upcoming shows. I suspect those of you who have already tuned in to Dennis’ show will appreciate this the most, but for the rest of you…skip the interview, if you want, but check out the show. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
