A short Texas-style interview w/The Beatles (1964)

The Beatles, 1964This week’s VOW feature comes from a local television interview in Dallas, Texas while The Beatles visited on their 1964 American Tour. This was recorded on the evening of September 18 and as you can see Paul decided to wear a cowboy hat for the occasion.

It seems that some where or another some one is always complaining about the death of journalism, but man, if this is the standard, journalism hasn't been doing too well in a very long time. What an irritant that man must have seemed. Barking inane questions one after another. Honestly, what kind of article was he going to write about the kind of girl Ringo likes.

Strange, how I bet that Paul or Ringo have no memory of this man or backstage area or hat. This is what they have done with now close to 75% of their entire lives. These brief, meaningless press blips have all blurred into a indistinct haze - I imagine.

To me, it's merely humor at the expense of this so called "professional journalist".
