Let It Be – trailer, 1970

Let It Be album cover, 1970Apple has still not ruled out the possibility that in the future the Let It Be film will be released on a beautifully remastered Blu-Ray DVD. For now, here is a nice medley of footage from it. Enjoy some good old fashioned rock n’ roll from John, Paul, George, Ringo and Billy.

The music of course is awesome.....but in some shots they look so bored and uninterested

looking forward to this dvd being released. i hope they put the whole rooftop concert.

Very very good. Makes me so happy! Thanks.

that brought back some memories. I've got this ripped ti DVD somewhere about the monastery

Me too...but would love an HQ upgrade to come out. My DVD like most others is just dubbed from a Beta or VHS.

btw ~ On a second viewing, I noticed this is a tv trailer for Let It Be... Naked. No wonder it's all sunny and smiley!

Yep...and there is a lot of footage snippets in there that were not in the final cut of the movie either. That's what I found interesting. John, a smiling fool? He still had the big H to kick at this point. Paul, sad? Yeah, and to his credit: He felt that they were there to get ready for a big live show but was missing the support from the rest of the band. He had to be sad or a more accurate word might be frustrated.

My original post was going to be that John looked all strung out on h and could barely manage to just smile all the time... That's what makes me sad.

Music was never the problem... and this clip makes that abundantly clear! The only other positive thing about the LIB film is that George is at his all-time sexiest (c'mon, ladies...). ;-) But seriously, Paul and John make me sad. Even singing and playing, Paul looks very sad and scared to me and John looks like a smiling fool, only half there.

I always have mixed emotions when I see this film. On the one hand, the bickering and unhappy vibe is a drag to watch, but on the other hand when they are having a good time and they are grooving with the music, it's great to see. I own it on VHS. I don't actually remember the last time I watched it. I may pull out the tape and watch it again.

Fantastic -- never saw this before and they look pretty happy.
