Fab4Radio

Fab4Radio is now the Internet station of choice on TheBeatlesRarity.com. You can access it easily from the middle right sidebar. Just click and minimize the player when it opens and enjoy the tunes while you look around. This is a great station, by the way! Over at fab4radio.com the station description reads:

This is it, finally a truly Fabulous 24/7 online radio station geared to the serious Beatle appreciator. Deep cuts, Beatles and related, selected to delight surprise and revitalize the fab faithful. Tune in and TURN IT UP!

I thank my new friend, Beatle Ed, for getting this great station going and encourage all Beatle fans reading to give it a listen. I’m listening to it right now, as I type this up, as a matter of fact, and my head won’t quit shakin’.

Thanks for the radio suggestion. I listened for quite a bit this afternoon - I heard your promo. Nice work. Earlier this month I read about some college students who were doing a similar thing with their weekly series. Here is the story:

Funny enough I just got the book The Beatles Undercover by Kristofer Engelhardt which chronicles so many Beatle projects I have never knew existed. It goes way beyond the obvious Mary Hopkins type projects. Have you ever seen George Harrison with Deep Purple? I had no ides.

Definitely sounds like a worthwhile read. I have heard of the book and I think I may have corresponded with Kris awhile back but have not read the book. I just might look it up. Also checked out your link. Judging by the playlist it sounds like a good station too.

My mention of Beatle Ed in the post is none other than "the" Ed Rudy, whose name you may recognize as the one who did the famous rare LP American Tour With Ed Rudy. I have one of these first pressings in my vinyl collection and it's a real time piece. Check out edrudy.com for more info. I'm thinking about picking up the CDs he has recently had pressed of the original album and it's 1965 companion piece which I don't own at present. Always something new to look forward too.

Thanks much Elliott for the post and book recommendation.
