In case you’re interested, I thought I’d give you a little preview of the upcoming CD release from Ringo Starr. He’s produced it himself this time and this track called Walk With You features Paul McCartney with him on vocals. Paul also plays bass on another of the album’s tracks called Peace Dream. The CD is called Y Not and will hit the stores next week on January 12th.

I like it! I think Macca makes a huge difference here. Very nice
This sounds great. Doesn’t sound like Ringo needs Mark Harmon any more. The Ringster is gettin’ so smoooooth.
Glad you both like this one. It was written by Ringo and Van Dyke Parks. And yep, no multi-colored bearded guys named Mark in the band anymore. However there are a few other names to speak of on the album like Ringo’s brother-in-law (aka Joe Walsh), Steve Dudas (one of the Roundheads), Benmont Tench (yes! from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), Dave Stewart, Ben Harper, Richard Marx (?!) doing some vocals and of course Paul McCartney.
What a heavenly treat to hear those 2 voices together, love Paul’s high harmonies, I am close to tears.
heee heee! yeah….
I was here. But thats too short to register as a comment so……..We don’t expect much from Ringo anymore…..
He’s doing okay for a drummer in my book. So glad he didn’t turn out like Phil Collins. Okay, okay….disregard. Phil is okay in small doses (except that Soo-soo-soodio song that a sooo-sooo hate!).
Nice! I already planned on buying the CD. Ringo’s albums are a lot better than you’d think they’d be. I like the electric guitar in this, and is that a mandolin? And the cat singing harmony’s okay too.
I expect quite a bit from Ringo these days – on his new CDs. His stage show is mostly recycled Beatles, but his new CDs are always worth the purchase price.
Pretty darn cool…very pleasant surprise.
wow,its good eh!
and its true Ringos last 4 or 5 solo efforts have been pretty darn good. There is some gems on there. How would of thought? I have been pleasantly surprised although Liverpool 8 wasn’t as great as Rama and the other Hudson release! He ahd 1 disc once caled Vertical man,it was really really good I cant even explain, and Choose love was anorther good one!!! Time takes time I think was the other one that was good, but VERTICAL MAN Rocked!
