I very much enjoyed hearing this. Jeff Lynne is a master producer and he really shone during this particular era. The mix is well balanced, focused and clean. We have three of four madly strumming acoustics, double tracked slide, rich baritone saxes and tons of percussion - the exact instrumentation that Phil Spector would have turned into a ponderous, muddy mess. Here however, everything is light and joyous. Bravo!I never quite realized how very much this sounds like McCartney's Hope of Deliverance. I need to make a little set because Ringo's new song Samba would also fit nicely alongside these other two. Any other suggestions to complete my new fantasy set?

I'm with you Bruce. This one actually kind of sticks in my head awhile after hearing it or sometimes my brain transfers it to the version from the CD with the vocals. I really can't get enough of these guys though. Too bad they only did two proper albums. I'll have to dig up more rarities on these guys later and get them on the site.

I like to hear instrumental tracks without vocals sometimes (the real ones not the canned karioke crap)
