For the very first time this is a 37 second sample of a brand new studio song of Sir Paul, I Want To Come Home, which is one of the tracks taken from the motion picture soundtrack of Robert De Niro’s new movie, Everybody’s Fine which will be released in America in December.

The trailer for the upcoming John Lennon biopic has just been released. It stars Aaron Johnson as Lennon and Thomas Sangster as McCartney. There is actually no Beatles music in the film. I’m not sure yet, but maybe it will be worth a watch. The film premiers at the London Film Festival tonight and hits the UK box office in December. It probably won’t make a US showing until next year.

Welcome to the first BROW installment on my new site. As I said in my last post, I have added some earlier BROW posts from my MOG.com site following this one, so feel free to read and listen on. Many more will follow (I actually hope to get all the MOG posts over here in due time) so subscribe, and check back often!

On June 3, 1964 Ringo Starr collapsed with a 102 degree temperature and tonsillitis. He was rushed to the hospital and consequently missed The Beatles big tour which kicked of the following day beginning in Scandinavia, then Holland, The Far East and finally Australia. Stand-in drummer Jimmie Nicol replaced Ringo until Ringo returned by flying down to Melbourne just in time for their June 15th afternoon gig at Festival Hall. Jimmie had played 10 shows with the band at that point and they all thought a lot of Jimmie but, of course, it was fabulous to get Ringo back. This account of Paul belting out Long Tall Sally with Ringo’s drums is from that reunion gig with Ringo and finished up their set that afternoon.
